The vaccine, administered by our pharmacist, costs £50 per dose and is given as part of a multi-dose course for lasting immunity.

Our private Japanese encephalitis vaccination service offers protection against this serious mosquito-borne virus, which is transmitted through infected mosquitoes in rural and agricultural areas, often near rice fields. The infection is most common in parts of Asia and the western Pacific, including Thailand, Vietnam, India, Cambodia, and the Philippines. The vaccine used is IXIARO®, administered by our pharmacist as part of a two-dose schedule. It is suitable for individuals aged two months and over who are travelling to affected regions. Each dose costs £95.

Our community pharmacy offers private Meningitis B and Meningitis ACWY vaccination services. These may be required for travel, particularly to parts of Africa or Saudi Arabia for pilgrimages (ACWY), and are recommended by many universities for new students. Our Pharmacist administers either the Typhim Vi® injection (from age 2) or Vivotif® oral vaccine (from age 5), depending on suitability and availability. Vaccination is recommended for travellers to countries with higher risk, including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, parts of Africa, and South-East Asia and starts from £40. Both options are clinically approved and delivered by our travel pharmacist.

Our community pharmacy offers a private Yellow Fever vaccination service for travellers to parts of South America or Africa where vaccination is required. The service costs £70 and includes the official International Certificate of Vaccination, which is needed for entry into some countries.
