Vaccination Services
This is just a selection of the vaccinations we now offer from our pharmacy. Our trained pharmacist will assess your requirements and ensure that you are protected, whether it's for travel, work or to maintain your health. We notifiy your GP surgery of private travel vaccinations administered and provide you with written evidence, which also helps to remind you when future doses are needed. We are in the process of adding new services, which will be added to our offering in the months to come. If there's a vaccine you think you require, but it doesn't look like we offer it as a service then please get in touch.
NHS Flu & COVID Vaccinations
Our NHS Flu and COVID Vaccination Service provides convenient access to vaccinations that protect against serious illness. Eligible groups, which vary each year, may include older adults, vulnerable individuals, and frontline workers. We offer a mix of walk-in or booked appointments, supporting wider NHS efforts to reduce infection rates and protect community health.
Chickenpox Vaccination
Our community pharmacy offers a private Chickenpox vaccination service for adults and children over 12 months old. The live vaccine costs £70 per dose, with two doses required for full protection. Some children will soon be eligible for this vaccine on the NHS so please check first. This service helps prevent chickenpox infection and its complications, providing convenient and professional care in a trusted local pharmacy setting.
Shingles Vaccination
Our community pharmacy provides a private Shingles vaccination service for adults aged 50 years and over. The vaccine costs £225 per dose, with two doses required for full protection. Some patients will be eligible for an NHS shingles vaccine so please check first. This service helps prevent shingles and its painful complications, offering convenient, professional vaccination in a trusted local pharmacy environment.

Our community pharmacy now offers a private RSV vaccination service for adults aged 60 years and over. The vaccine costs £230 for a single dose and helps protect against Respiratory Syncytial Virus, which can cause serious respiratory illness. Measles, Mumps & Rubella Vaccine
At Cumbria Travel Clinic, we offer the MMR vaccination to protect against measles, mumps, and rubella — three highly contagious viral infections.
