• NHS number (where provided)

• Where applicable, details of private purchases, consent records, communications you have with us

• Maintaining safe, accurate records of medicines supplied and services given

• Communicating with you about your medicines and health where necessary

• Sharing relevant information with your GP or other healthcare professionals for your ongoing care

• Meeting our legal and regulatory obligations (including NHS contract, NHS Business Services Authority claims, audit, fraud prevention)

• Managing our business operations and service standards

Our lawful bases for processing are:

• Performance of a contract / provision of health care to you

• Compliance with a legal obligation (e.g., NHS contractual requirements, pharmacy regulations)

• Occasionally, your explicit consent (for example, if we are using your information for marketing or non-health-care purposes)

Who we share your information with

• With other healthcare professionals involved in your care (e.g., GP, hospital, specialist) when necessary and appropriate

• With the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) for reimbursement of NHS services and monitoring of pharmacy services. NHSBSA

How long we keep your information

We keep your personal information for as long as required to fulfil the purposes described above, to meet our legal obligations, to resolve disputes and to enforce our agreements. For NHS prescription service records there are established retention periods (eg. the NHSBSA holds prescription data up to 18 months in identifiable form and anonymises or destroys later). NHSBSA
